Neck Liposuction FAQs
How much does neck liposuction cost in Greenwich, CT & Westchester, NY?
Neck liposuction cost can vary depending on a few important things: the amount of liposuction needed in the area, anesthesia involved, and hospital care afterward. Dr. Margoles understands that the cost of surgery can play a significant factor in your decision to undergo surgery; however, it is encouraged that you consider the quality of your surgeon over the amount. We also offer a variety of financial options for patients who choose to undergo elective medical procedures and would be happy to help you in any way that we can.
How long do neck liposuction results last?
Generally, with a healthy lifestyle, neck liposuction results last between five to ten years—longer in some cases. It is essential to keep in mind that lifestyle, age, gravity, gender, and environmental factors will continue to affect the neck area’s contours, smoothness, and overall shape. Be sure to schedule reoccurring check-ups with Dr. Margoles to ensure your results last for years to come.
Is neck liposuction safe?
As with any surgery, there are some small risks, including infection after neck liposuction surgery. The risk of complications is minor with the proper technique and incision aftercare. There are critical structures in the neck, such as nerves, blood vessels, and the trachea. As a board-certified and fully trained plastic surgeon, Dr. Margoles is prepared to keep you as safe as possible. Be sure to consult with Dr. Margoles during your recovery period to ensure no complications arise after your procedure.
Does liposuction work on your neck?
Yes, liposuction is an excellent way to remove fat from the subcutaneous tissue layers of the neck to give you a sculpted, more youthful contour to your neck and jaw. You are a good candidate for neck lipo if you have excess fat underneath the chin or along the neck.
What is the recovery time for neck liposuction?
Recovery time after neck liposuction depends on the individual, as well as the extent of the surgery. Typically, patients can return to their daily activities, including work, within two weeks post-op. Expect your neck to feel sore and tight for a few weeks, and know that bruising and swelling are entirely normal.
Does neck liposuction leave loose skin?
There is a possibility of loose skin sagging after having neck liposuction if the skin of the neck has poor elasticity. Skin that has elasticity can quickly bounce back. Because of this risk, Dr. Margoles will recommend to patients combining their neck liposuction with a neck lift surgery to remove fat and tighten the skin for more comprehensive results.
How long after neck liposuction will you see results?
The results of neck liposuction become noticeable after one to two weeks. Patients often find that their neck and jaw begin to look more contoured and youthful once swelling and bruising have subsided after their neck liposuction. Final results may not be evident until a few months after. Everyone heals and recovers differently, so be patient with your results and consult with Dr. Margoles during your recovery.
